Nice play that starts in the Trails primary.
In normal motion, the defender was not in the RA. As oppose to legal guarding position, that may be questionable.
What's your take on this?
A very interesting play to watch again. There may be two missed calls on this play.
The missed travel. PHX#4 drives away from the Trail towards the Slot. If there was a travel call, it should have come from the Slot official. The Lead should have been at close down to assist in the play. It does look like the travel did open up to Trail as well. Would it be a good cadence call to come from the Trail?
The drive to the basket. PHX#9 opinionated about the contact to the basket. But it did seem like she used her elbow to create a distance with the defender. If there was a foul, it would come from the Lead.

That's a pretty difficult play to officiate, especially in regular speed.
The play is definitely a Lead's play.
Let's say the same play, with the dribbler in back-down into a jump stop. Instead of his back being to the basket, let's say he was facing the basket. As he spins and faces the basket, he pivots. Would that be the same as the current play?
Hopefully some thoughts on this play.
This is a good play to review, because there are a few things that comes to my mind.
Another good play to review on court coverages.
This was definitely a reach across primaries. At times, its needed. One philosophy that I stand by in a game, is if you are reaching to make a call outside of your primary.
Make sure it's a strike.
